The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it can be alarmed in regards to the substantial quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The provider issue created for intervention encounters a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to permit the servicing of SRD all consumers and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
